Went as a last resort to The Principle. Had no idea about the quality of food or service.
Well, we were in for a treat!! Although we had arrived just past 3, post lunch service time, we were personably received and enjoyed I feel the best food by far I've had in a very long time in Perth! The food was to die for!! Had the chicken duo, my daughter the kids fish and chips. Oh and the desserts...real quality again and actually handmade on the premises!! Generally, I find what's on offer in Perth is very disappointing, but this one, is up there I think on the international ranking. You could really see and taste the food was created by a true chef of a very high calibre. I can' recommend The Principle highly enough from our experience there. The staff were professional and personable,. The atmosphere was relaxed. I hope the standard maintains, I will definitely be spreading the word and looking forward to our next meal there.
We went here for lunch and it was very good. Food was nice and portions were generous. Menu was standard pub fare, although a little bit pricey ($18 for a steak sandwich or chicken burger) Service was good as well. And for a bunch of mums out with 4 small children it was great they offered a kids menu, although the size of the kids meals were probably more suited to older children. Some coloured pencils, colouring in sheets would be an idea, as would maybe having some plastic cups for smaller kids.
I am looking forward to taking my husband here for a kid free dinner :)
My boyfriend and I decided to try out the Principal on Saturday night. I'd recommend booking as the restaurant was full but the bar serves the same menu just not with table service. We ordered the beef fillet, pasta of the day and caramel slice.
The food was absolutely amazing! And when the cover band started up at 8.30 we were blown away. I have never heard such an amazing voice and a great selection of songs.
I will definitely be going back. The food was a little pricey although it was worth every penny
