Bar area is quite nice.. The music is cool. Casual crowd, but still elegant.
Meal needs to be paid when you order. Reasonable price, Service is great.
Regular venue of mine.
Overall... Good for a quiet night out for a nice pub meal feel (foods very nice) with a small dose of loud music & cocktails in the bar area ...
My previous comment of The Pub coincides with a night I went to the pub during a busy saturday night for drinks alone, however going earlier in the night and sitting down for a meal, as I have now down this weekend past was a completely different story.
Service was friendly, obliging and extremely professional throughout the entire meal. Meals themeselves were decently priced (average pub prices of mains being $20-$30) and came out quickly and beautifully presented, despite the place being jam packed!
Partner had a mushroom steak with mash and veg which he said was satisfactory. Mother had a fillet mignion which she said tasted just like how they made them in the 70's, something she has been looking for in restaurants. Terrible place!
Too crowded and full of drunk sleazy young men. Could not enjoy myself here as was constantly on gaurd as to what the people around me were doing.
The bar service also leaves alot to be desired as everytime I went to order a drink I waited nearly 30 minutes just to get noticed by the bar staff. Finally on one occaision when I had ordered my one cocktail I was flabbergasted when the bar girl placed 4 cocktails in front of me, I don't know how she misheard one as four! She then proceeded to get sulky when I explained I had only ordered one and wasn't going to pay for the four of them!
