The Raccoon Club

I'd discovered this place about a year ago quite by accident, and when I was up this way more recently I decided to go and check it out again. I have to admit that it is a pretty cool place, having once been a motor mechanic but now transformed into an inner-city bar. Mind you, you don't tend to find as many places this far out from the city, which is probably why it is pretty packed, especially on a Friday. They have some decent beers on tap, and do have food available, but it seems that you have to go to the restaurant next door for that (there isn't a way into it from the bar itself). They also have a pool table right out the back and a nice beer garden out the front. However, you do need to time yourself because, as I suggested, it does get pretty packed.

Just loved Friday night drinks with a friend at this chilled out, unassuming 'local'. Comfy seats at the bar, reasonably priced drinks, a pot of caramel koalas at the bar, delightfully friendly staff and a grown-up crowd. Can't wait to go back! #reviewtowin
