The Rag And Famish Hotel

Hot and no air conditioning! I only came here for a drink and was satisfied with my Róse. The bathrooms were cooler and a lot cleaner than the entire pub.

Great spot for a pub lunch in North Sydney.
We headed in today for lunch around 1:15. It was packed but we found seats upstairs (air con was stronger up there too).
Order down at the bar and receive a buzzer to collect your meal.
Food is well priced and very fresh.

This was actually a pretty cool English style pub with a really nice beer garden out the back. Okay, I'm not going to say that it was fantastic, especially since you don't seem to get many 'trendy' bars around this part of Sydney, but this place was coming pretty close to it (though not close enough for me to say that it was great). They do have a pretty decent collection of beers on tap, though I'm not going to go as far as calling it a craft beer bar. They also have a market on Sundays every so often, which would be interesting to check out, if I happened to be in the area that is. I don't mind this pub at all, and wouldn't be all that adverse to spending more time here if I was in the area, but I wouldn't say that it is one of my favourites.

Not the best pub ever but it will do if you need a local watering hole to true. Strange name. Easily accessible by train.

The Rag and Famish ( love the name, please don't ever change it) has been going for a while. It's still churning out good food and drinks, of course. North Sydney is a fun place to work, and even more fun to socialise after work at the Rag. Lots of ex-private school kids on a Thursday night, but don't let that stop you going. Worth a try.
