Really, really average food. All the roasts were moist, but they were bland and tasted like what a very average housewife would cook in the mid-1960s. Got the $50 'family' pack. And by 'family', it _just_ fed 2 full grown males. Small meat portion sizes. This place is just really poor value for money and very very average. Avoid.
This place is such a find! I cannot compliment them more than I have, every time we have eaten there. The roasts and sides are the best, often there isn't room for dessert. The kids finish everything they are served and actually ask to eat there (instead of takeaway from anywhere else). They have saved the day on one occasion when unexpected guests arrived and Roast Kitchen were able to organise a takeaway roast for 10, apparently they do catering too. Cheery staff and available parking nearby.
The Roast Kitchen is so good that I drive from Northcote to get takeaway! The rolls are fantastic for lunch, and the full roasts are always perfectly cooked. Every meat & vege you like, and a mashed potato that will blow your mind! For around $50 you can get a full healthy meal for a family of four. Neatly packaged in easy to carry/serve containers. Staff very nice too.
