The Rose Hotel
A fixture for many in the area, The Rose combines an old-school local bar feel in the front section and a large beer garden out the back, where most patrons will spend their time.
There's an extensive menu and cocktail bar but just as good with a schooner of beer and a game of pool.

Was here for my friends 50th where we have the upstairs area all to ourselves with it's own little bar.
The staff were attentive and friendly. The space was wonderful for our gathering and it was cordoned off so that we didn't have stragglers.
The room had the perfect acoustics so that when Christa Hughes and her father belted out a few numbers we were transfixed by the show.
It's a great little pub that does some decent food. Just be aware that it's a bit more pricier for your pub food than other places, however the food is good! Their pizza's are a bit to die for, so feel free to grab a bunch of friends and make use of their outdoor seating to share a few pizza's and have some cold ones as they have some great ciders on tap!
Came here for a birthday drinks and there was a really good vibe. Their cider on tap was really nice and crisp and the hot chips are totally shareable with really good aioli. There's a pool table in the courtyard space which my friends enjoyed. It does get a bit dark on the outer tables (not much lighting) but plenty of seating to accomodate your event!
Good old friendly, relaxed pub with a big outdoor space and loads of tables, great for an afternoon session or catch up with a group. Decent selection of food and drinks, food prices are a bit marked up from standard pub grub but there's a good variety and the meals I've had have been tasty.
