After a number of years in the hospitality industry in Sydney, on the 19th June 2006 the Rose Family opened The Roses Cafe in Goulburn. Their goal was to prepare all the food in the kitchen, thus avoiding sourcing the produce from wholesalers and manufactures. The Cafe is set in an historic 1889 building on Montague Street, opposite beautiful Belmore Park.The interior walls are painted in typical rose colours of pinks, mauves and maroons, adorned with paintings of flowers and pastoral scenes. Above the delectable cake display counter are enough vases of pink and white flowers to suggest a florist. Another spacious counter is full of a tempting array of pies, quiches, frittata's, warm and cold salads and much more.
