The Royal Derby Hotel
Located in Fitzroy, The Royal Derby Hotel offers everything that a traditional pub should come equipped with including an inexpensive bistro area, live music events, televised sport and a beer garden. There are also local and imported beers on tap including Tooheys and Guinness. The Royal Derby also doubles as a backpacker hostel, with twin and dorm rooms available.

Not a bad place for a drink in my opinion.

I had asked for this to be medium rare. I find very few places Ive eaten at tend to get the steak just right. Mine was medium to well done. Eatable, but would have preferred to be cooked to my liking. The chips were just perfect, crispy and crunchy. The mushroom sauce was very nice. My partner said his steak sandwich was average, I would probably agree with my dish also. The ambiance could have been livelier, but overall it just lacked the atmosphere that a ...read more
