The Royal George
The Royal George in the heart of Sydney City has all the charm and warmth of an old British ale house mixed with the exclusivity of the Ivy complex. This bar has a contemporary take on traditional pub food with your exquisite steak and grilled fish. This is a great place to celebrate any occasions, whether the end of the week or a birthday to relax with the split level venue including an internal balcony overlooking a grand pool table area below.
Well, it seems as if there are still a few pubs to discover in the Sydney CBD, and in fact I never knew that this one actually existed until I wandered past it one evening. Well, it turns out that it really wasn’t one of my favourite places, but it was still rather nice, and reasonably quiet as well, especially on a Friday night, which can be a rarity at times.
I came in with a group of friends on a Saturday and I've got to say - it was easily one of the most memorable sushi places in chatswood. There are so many sushi places in the area that I've always given the humble Kaido a miss, but never again. The grilled salmon in particular was delicious, but I also had the agedashi tofu and a few rolls. All of it was really good. My friends all said the same thing - while it looks small and basic, the food is amazing and the service efficient. Definitely recommend this place.
