The Shannon Hotel

the Shannon has been wrecked! It was a fantastic local for an easy Friday after-work-drinks place, that most of our office loved to head to each week. The courtyard used to be cosy in winter, but now the heaters have gone, and the music is thumping house music!!?? It might be trying to attract a really young crowd...but it's a bit like a daggy suburban night club now!? ...(but with sports being played at every eyeline). The drink prices have also increased beyond those that are offered at the surrounding pubs? I hope the managers can see sense to remember the previous patrons so that we can make it our local again.

Great beer garden, service was promt. Food was good but a little late. Top atmosphere.

The inside is much much better than the outside. We have been watching the 'improvements' but well it is just plain funny and stingy! The paint job and doors...it is just downright funny.

But as I say the inside is quite nice and worth a try. The service is good and the atmosphere quite nice.

This pub is great after it was recently renovated.
