The Smith

A modern and clean decor with an open space consisting of communal bar area and table seating. As a group of 10 with friends, this seems like a place for a variety of drinks to choose to complement our dinner. The menu is mostly sharing plates which are Asian inspired flavours. We had the small plates of duck buns, crispy fried eggplant, papaya salad and dumplings. Staff were very knowledgeable and attentive and overall service great! Definitely need to go back to try more dishes!

Okay, this pub is not exactly on Chapel Street, which means that you do have to go and look for it, which means that it is not going to be anywhere near as crowded as some of the other pubs. It's not a bad pub: it has a small beer garden out the back, though that tends to fill up pretty quickly, and there is a small balcony up on the second level, though that is really for functions so you can't really wonder up there and have your beer (though from what I could see, it was standing room only, which suggests that it is only there for the smokers). What I really liked about this pub though was the door. All you had to do was touch the black dot in the centre and it would slide open. The bouncer probably though I was a little crazy when I sat on the benches outside and watched people go in and out.
