See you with the StarsAt The Space Place Observatory visitors experience the wonders of space by viewing through telescopes, engaging with astronomers and by interacting during a presentation of the night sky that highlights our Universe.
The building is split into two areas. The space exibition centre which can at time houses 5 large telescopes, for public access, and for use if needed high magnification binoculars. The other half of the building is a room that also contains a reception and shop.
Our telescopes take you hurtling back in time revealing space as it was thousands years ago. If you're viewing a star that is 5,000 light years away then you are actually seeing the light from that star as it was 5,000 years ago because that's how long it takes the light to reach Earth and into your ...read more
