Not a bad place to come to have some beer, watch the NBA finals with some mates over some burgers or parma. The place is cosy and modern and I enjoyed my parma. The chips were crunchy and not too salty. The service was friendly and attentive and they were quite busy for a Thursday night l. There's ample parking at the back and around the area. There's a decent selection of drinks on the tap and their house white wine was very nice. I would recommend visiting if you are in the area.
The Sporting Globe Bar & Grill in Moonee Ponds in a Thursday lunch was filled with people at the bar section watching NBA finals. We were seated in the restaurant and there were a few people there. Looking at the wide selection on the menu, it was really hard to decide. Everything on there looked and sound good. I ended up ordering a smashed avocado chicken parma. Others had stead, burgers, wraps. For entree we ordered pork siders, fried cauliflower, chilli cheese fries and wedges. I very much enjoyed the pork siders, it was full of flavour and juicy. My main was massive it came with chips and salad so i couldnt finish it but having avocado with chicken parma was really nice. Service was quick and the staff was always making sure everything was ok. We ended the lunch with ice cream sandwich, must try is the butterscotch flavour and the strawberries. Yummy. Totally recommend.
