The Standard Hotel

I'm going to have to say that this is actually a pretty cool pub. The staff are quite friendly, and they have a massive beer garden which is something that always attracts my attention – I love beer gardens. This actually seems to be two pubs in one, with a front bar that seems to be full of the old regulars from times past, and the back part where all of the young, hip, and trendy people tend to hang out. In fact it is very rare that I have seen a pub that actually caters for both crowds – it is either one or the other. It is also located on one of the back streets of Fitzroy, which also adds to its charm – the best pubs seem to always be located there. I've been here a couple of times, and it always seems to be full of people, and I am sure to come back here again some time soon.
