This place was okay, but it the coffee really wasn't one of the best that I have had. Basically it is one of those coffee shops that is located near the railway station, which means that the morning crowd no doubt descend upon it for their morning coffee before heading off to work, though on a Saturday the dynamic changes considerably. The place was quite charming in and of itself, but I wasn't one of the best places that I have visited. However it did have some charm.

have not ben here for awhile, looks like they have new owners but same- food great quality, modern, innovative and fast and friendly service. lots of meat on menu, would be good to see more veg and a soup of day would be good in winter months. they do have 2 or more specials of the day. had the green regular lunch menu item- broccolini, smashed peas on toast with p/eggs, dukkah and halmoui $17 (not alot of haloumi) but very tasty. coffees as good as ever. will start returning again

The Station Street Cafe feels more like an inner city cafe rather than one out in the suburbs. It has a laidback feel with nice artwork/photography on the walls. There is Friday night tapas and live music which I have yet to experience. The service is excellent - quiet but friendly and the water is replaced promptly. They do excellent coffee and the lunch menu, although small, has something for everyone. I had the sundried tomato and onion tart and although perhaps a little pricey, it was delicious. Same goes for the lamb burger, which appears a little on the small side, but is full of flavour.

great dips - you can tell they are homemade and some thought has gone into them rather than the plain old usual ones - eg pumpkin/black sesame seed and lentel dips

new spring lunch menu sounds nice, i tried the lental burger (with eggplant, zucchini and capsicum and yoghurt) and fried onion ring curled on top. presented lovely and very tasty. always get a good meal here, although a little small.
