the vegetable pasties seem to have gone down hill- just potato mash mainly with some corn. only pies available are steak varieties would be nice to see some lamb and chicken pies, etc or vegetable pie. not alot of hot food to choose from, lots of cakes, and gluten free breads, some ready made sandwiches such as meat and salad, and egg and salad.
I just bought a pie and sausage roll from The Swiss Bakehouse. I was so blown away by the quality that I just had to create a truelocal account to write a review! I can't work out which one is worse. I put the pie down after two bites, the grey fatty mince has no taste whatsoever and no amount of tomato sauce was going to save it...trust me I tried! The sausage rolls looks and tastes like they have simply wrapped pastry around the congealed fat drippings of a bbq. So now I'm hungry, thanks Swiss Bakehouse! :)
This bakery was terrific until this year feb. 2013. Almost as if they are not using the same quality ingredients....
Prior to this year management always gave us extra portions & had enough of the breads we liked. Now they always seem to run out.
Fruit loaf is not as fruity, brezels not as big.etc
It was our favorite bakery but its just not the same.
