The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf
The Wharf Pier 4, Hickson Rd
Sydney, NSW, 2000
A really pleasant experience here, the service is professional and so polished, the staff really seem to enjoy their job, the seafood dish i had was yum yum and we asked the waiter to recommend a wine, very happy with the selection. That view and the atmosphere are never boring and the prices are so fair given the calibre of the stunning location. Thanks again!
A very long name and a very long walk to the end of the wharf, but totally worth it! They know that most customers are probably going to the theatre, the Wharf Theatre that is, or perhaps the Roslyn Packer Theatre across the road. Now, onto the food! It's very very lovely. I think the whole venue has a different focus now, they have extended their opening hours and they even have an amazing lunch special, under $20 for a glass of wine and a main course, and it's high quality, and of course, there's that amazing view thrown in! It's truly a magical part of Sydney, and you're even welcome if you're not going to the theatre, now that is why I love it and love to take international guests here.
Literally right at the end of the wharf sits this gem, The Theatre Bar at the End of the Wharf. If you are in the area for a production, or anything really, this place is a must-go. It is a really open, warehouse style space right on the water so the views of bits of Sydney harbour are pretty great. Speaking of great, their sangria jug is the dream! You can tell that this place is inspired by an artistic industry and the whole decor is pretty hipster, but what do you really expect from somewhere attached to Sydney Theatre Company?!
What a great location for a bar at the end of the wharf....see what i did there :P. huh!
Having decided to have some graduation drinks i thought why not try this place out as i've always wanted to visit but have rarely been in the area.
As you get to Pier 4, take the lift up to level 2, turn right and walk all the way down. It 's at least a 5 minute walk. Don't follow our way and walk around the whole pier and then be told that the lift was just at the front ...read more
