- TESTIMONIAL -

I have joined The TOUGH Spot in December 2010, and despite being one of the most difficult decisions that year on whether I wanted to commit to yearly membership, it has truly been a decision which I have never regretted to date.

I owe a lot to The TOUGH Spot for which has helped me evolve into my current physical condition. I feel much fitter and more energised each day. I have never imagined myself being hooked on going to a session at the gym as I feel now compared to years in the past with other gyms. Being there gets me pumped and seeing the results makes me addicted to the place.

Prior to signing up I was being complacent with my fitness. Letting myself go with my nutrition intake, sitting at the office working and not doing much after work hours to exercise, and doing 1 or 2 sessions of sport over the weekend took its toll on my body, my fitness levels and my emotional levels. I was getting chubbier by the day, losing my stamina, and constantly feeling lethargic, stressed and exhausted.

I considered singing up with Fitness First as I have in the past, but I hated the atmosphere there. I found myself feeling intimidated and inferior surrounded by muscular men pumping weights, and feel the eyes staring at me in the gym thinking "what is this puny guy doing here?" I did not enjoy the atmosphere and found the classes there rather mundane.

A very satisfied client,

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIAL POSTED BY BUSINESS

Review posted by Beata Valinoti > Benefits: The Tough Spot welcomes you into "the family" the moment you walk through the door for the very first time. They will make you work hard, push you to your absolute limit but at the same time encourage and nurture you to reach your goals. EVERYONE at the gym is so nice. The owners take a keen interest in everyone and know everyones name. You will become addicted, look forward to your next class and miss it on the days you don't go. The trainers are professionals who know their stuff and will help you perfect your technique. You will become a fit, healthy, strong person - and others will notice it and ask you what you've been doing because they see the effort your putting in. My answer: Cavewoman Training, try it, it will change your life!

If you actually want to train and get results then this place is the one for you. PT's don't care about your weekend while you sit on the bike for 20min. these guys will kick your a** and you'll thank them for it. not a traditional gym either. kettlebells, tyres, ropes and sandbags are the norm. the other members are supportive too. No mirrors or steroid munchers to worry about just honest functional based training.

I cant recommend this gym highly enough. With a lot of other gyms in the area I feel its the personal and adaptive approach the owners take that have really set them apart. They truly care about their clients and are always taking on feedback, as well as trying new things to ensure you wont get bored of training. Of all the gyms Ive been to I havent been challenged this hard or seen fellow trainers achieve results so quickly. Their adaptive approach has also led to a number of activities outside of their weekly timetable; be it weekend challenges, sparring/rolling practice, BJJ grading or tournaments. It can seem intimidating to begin with (especially given the reputation of the caveman training), but youll fall into the family pretty quickly and be seeing results faster than you expect.

is definitely a good gym if you want to lose weight, this is not a typical weights gym like goodlife etc, they provide a unique high intensity circuit called caveman and offers tabata, kettle bells as well as boxing fit and muay thai fit classes and BJJ. For the prices it is quite worth it, ONLY if you choose the fitness classes which is about $30 a week, its probably one of the cheapest around. remember you're paying for classes not weights gym, normally 1 class of anything is about $15-$20, at this gym its $30 for unlimited classes.

They have 2 locations one in Albion and one in Westend near the three monkeys cafe.
