My appointment went very well, I want to thank the doctors and reception for everything! The reception team were incredible! I was so impressed with their professionalism, attention to detail and proactive approach to handling any issues that arose. They thought of everything, even before it happened! It made the whole experience even better. I even got to stay a few extra minutes with the doctor!!
Highly recommend Dr Shelley Gray--best I have seen for my ADD, as she goes much further into understanding causes and treatment options than any of the dunderheads I have previously encountered. Yes, you wait, but you are also allocated plenty of time that often goes beyond normal appointment time--which must cut into the Doctors personal time at some point.
The worst problem I used to have with psychiatrists was that they were rigid, ultra conservative, didn't listen and you would leave knowing that your concerns had not been addressed. Dr Gray takes the time to listen and address your concerns so you understand treatment decisions--and she offers much more for personal research as well.
Take a book along for the wait, its worth it.
I called the practice to make an appointment for a doctor I used to see years ago. It turns out that in the meantime he has moved practices. The receptionist I spoke with went to the trouble of looking up my previous doctor and providing me with the contact details for his new consultation rooms. I contacted his new consultation rooms and was rudely told he was not able to see me for several weeks. I called the Town Medical Centre back to book in with another doctor at the practice and was told that unfortunately because one of the doctors was on leave, there was a bit of a wait there too, however they could put me on a cancellation list. The receptionist also provided me with a list of numbers for practices to try in the city if I could not wait. I just moved to Melbourne and found this place online. Read the reviews and thought it sounded pretty good. The doctor was great. Very friendly and thorough and the reception girls were really helpful with getting my old medical records transferred from my last doctor. A+ :) Wanted to make sure I put my good feedback. Often people only make the effort when they want to complain about something.
