This is the second time I have been to this little cafe and wow today was busy the town was alive with the comboyne show. The first time we stopped in the coffee was awful I'm positive it must be the coffee brand because 4 of us all agreed it tasted bad sour or even burnt. And today was the same it was awful still.
We ate some nice food the first time but today we opted for just coffee and packed our own lunch. Service is below par for a country style cafe even if when busy a smile would be nice when wait staff brings you your coffees but we did manage a warm smile and happy vibe when paying the young lady which seemed real but could have been because we just handed over our money. They say, "Country hospitality served here".. and as always, so is great food and the best cakes and scones. We often take the drive for their wonderful lunches and always take visiting friends to the mountains and waterfalls and stop at The Udder Cow for a coffee and cake. I have a lovely rapport with the staff who are always friendly and welcoming. This charming Cafe is definitely worth a visit.
Bland, lukewarm coffee; dirty, sticky tables; bored, unfriendly staff - udder disappointment.
I've never had that experience, in fact I love the red checked table cloths and often have a laugh with the lovely ladies working there.
We had the same thing happen today and another time also. Bland coffee disgusting coffee actually and unfriendly staff except for the other staff when we paid the bill. Seems not much has changed in 12 months
