The Union Restaurant

My Wife and I went here for our first childs gender reveal.
The waiters were very excited and happy to help us celebrate our intimate dinner.
The food was delicious though we probably overcarbed ourselves.
Something out of the ordinary for Penrith.

Wonderful food, wonderful service and great vibe. Penrith needs more restraunts like this im sick of travelling to newtown and surry hills.

I want to love The Union. I really do. The vibe and idea behind the restaurant is very Surry Hills and the place really stands out compared to other local venues. So go here if you want to stay somewhere out west and feel like you are in the inner west. Don't go here if you need an accessible entrance, want authentic tapas or want reasonably priced and sized sharing plates. On arrival we were welcomed with a steep and narrow flight of concrete stairs. A problem because we had both a baby in a stroller and one of us had a leg brace on. We drove around to High St, presuming there would be street level entrances but there weren't. So we pulled baby outta the stroller, lifted our legs high and braved the stairs of doom - going down was a nightmare. I can't imagine you'd want to go there in a wheelchair.
