The customer service is disgraceful!!! i brought in a chair to be upholstered. it was done, but not how we specified, and there were several spots which were missed and had faults. when i called to arrange the chair to be fixed, they said that they had moved factories and would be up and running again in 4 weeks. 5 weeks later i called again, and they were "still moving". so, i left it another 6 weeks, which i was then told they are not doing upholstery at their new location, and that he would get his son-in-law to call me back. this was 2 weeks ago and i have not heard a word, i have emailed and no response has been sent. the chair was a gift, I'm determined to take this further if not resolved!
I also wish I had seen these reviews prior to engaging this company. I would be interested to hear how cjwillia got on in the end, and what the result of the dispute was. My experience is possibly worse, as I have paid $2500 to purchase fabric (quantity required very much over-stated and twice what was needed for covering the same suite 10 years ago). No response to phone calls or emails, apart from they would get back to me in a few days (that was months ago). I have no idea even whether the fabric was even ordered, let alone received, and now to make matters worse, I have discovered that this company is no longer at their registered address - I have been unable to obtain a forwarding address. Legal action is underway.
We were not happy with our dealings with this company:
Instead of the one third deposit with full payment due after
completion, as stated in the contract, the complete cost of the job
was debited to our credit card one week after the contract was
signed.
Repeated requests to have this charge reversed were ignored.
We received no merchant receipts of the debit made to our credit card
despite requests.
The job was meant to take 2-3 weeks. It took over nine weeks.
Despite promises to return our phone calls, few calls were returned.
I wish I'd read this before, but a very similar thing has happened to me with this company. I wanted to have my whole house refitted with blinds and had a quote done then signed the contract and authorised access to my credit card for 50%. This amount was duly taken out but a week later the remaining 50% was also taken out. I have emailed and phoned to get this rectified as I want to see the quality of the work before I complete payment. I am taking this to dispute as this is a sizable amount of money and I'm struggling to cover other expenses. Not happy!!!
