The Valley Private Hospital

I recently spent nine days at the Valley private hospital. The whole experience has blown me away and I feel absolutely compelled to write about my experience and thank everyone involved in my care during my stay.
During my time there, I had a number of investigations and surgery to fix a long term problem and have regained my quality of life.
I had been put in the too hard basket by hospitals that I'd previously believed to the best private and public hospitals that I had attended.

I have been in the Valley three times over about 5 years. Having Private cover I did not expect to be put in a 4 bed ward with two dementia patients, yelling out all night when the other patients were trying to rest or sleep. My wife spoke to the staff and I was moved into a 2 bed ward. The level of attention was not great for the amount on the total bill. Although I was really ill on the last 10 day visit, I thought the food was very average. I would think twice before going back, but is their any better, that is the question.

I had hurt my elbow a month back and was recommended by a local doctor to this hospital for emergency .I was in excruciating pain and hoping to get immediate attention rushed to this expensive destination. After a wait of half an hr in. An emergency ward....I was asked to sign some papers relating to my expenses and the. Proceeding to the docs.After the treatment.....I was made a total bill of 334dollars which was explained that this is the final bill and I signed on it and my husband paid for it to clear it.Never for once we were told that we will expect a 94dollar bill after one month.To my surprise after a month I got sent a 94dollar bill and when I called to ask why wasn't I told about this extra bill , the receptionist rudely told me that this was due and I had no choice but to pay it.My question is when I was leaving the hospital why wasn't I to.d that the bill is not complete.Why am I being charged a fee which I was not informed off...after one month from the ...read more
