Yeah, it's a pretty cool pub, not too far from Subiaco, and does tend to draw the after football crowds (though we should note that as of 2018 they won't actually be playing any games here anymore). Like a lot of the pubs in Perth it is pretty chilled and laid back with friendly staff and unpretentious bouncers. They do have craft beers on tap, which is a bonus, and there is also a beer garden and a smokers cage (though that has a tendency of getting rather full). Pretty decent pub and I'd make my way back here sometime. Further, despite it begin after a football match, the place actually wasn't all that crowded. Okay, there was a decent sized crowd, but not huge. There is also a second level, but I didn't check that out.
The Vic is well located on Hay Street and well placed to grab some lunch during the week or drinks after work in Subi. Big bar area, and a spacious outdoor beer garden out the back which is also easily accessible from the back carpark. Extensive range of drinks available which are reasonably priced. Decent food menu, with a few lunch time specials available. We ordered the Guinness Pie which was very tasty, presented with salad. I had the chicken parma which was ok, but the parma was topped with cheddar cheese instead of a mozzarella cheese which spoilt the taste of the parma. The service was pleasant, however you had to wait quite a while for your meal, even though the venue was not packed.
