The Yellow Dance Spot

My children (8 & 4)and I adore this lovely dance school. They learn ballet & contemporary dance in a really well thought out way and I'm amazed how much they have progressed in their time there. The Yellow Dance Spot take a wonderfully healthy and nourishing approach to teaching dance and the results are beautiful. I also really like their emphasis on encouraging children to connect with their bodies and understand how they work, even the little ones. Every class is different and the children leave stimulated and happy.The teachers are mature and really make an effort to know the children and make their experience at the school a special one.

My 3 year old daughter chose The Yellow Dance Spot herself after comparing trial classes with another mainstream local dance school. Her exact words were as follows: "I want to go to Inbar's dancing class mum. She's friendly and I know I can do that kind of dancing." As her mother I loved seeing the gentle encouragement Inbar provided, the exploration of movement and the acceptance of every child's unique interpretation of each dance. The provision of music from around the world and the rich discussion of text and music as a muse for dancing is so heartwarming to watch! And you know there are adult dance classes too :) Highly recommended.

My six year old daughter loves the classes and comes home with enthusiastic stories of contributing to the choreography, creative moves she has learned and ideas explored through dance and a diverse range of music that is quality checked as suitable for children. A refreshing change from the fussy and overly structured traditional dance schools when you want your child to enjoy her own imagination and creative abilities. Thanks Inbar
