What a disappointing alternative is Metro to Thomas Dux. The Dux, although not cheap, offered fruit and veg of high quality, fresh and interesting bakery items and a variety of goods unavailable in the mainstream supermarkets. Metro's 'fresh' items are tired to say the least (lettuce brown at the edges) a very limited range of goods overall. We are much better served by Coles up the road.
