What happened, Thomas Dux? I've walked in too many times to disappointment in the quality of your produce - found my garlic rotted when I broke off a clove (purchased same day), punnet of strawberries found mouldy in fridge the morning after purchase. Meat selections constantly unavailable, along with bread and milk. You weren't always like this.
Lovely range of gourmet foods at high end prices. Best item authentic crispy crossaints. Worst item Delzini gourmet pizza- inordinately tough un-chewable slab of dough. Inedible, had to be thrown out after cooking. Total disappointment.
Hi Alice, thx for your review. We will follow up the pizza product quality issue with our supplier but glad you enjoyed the croissants!!
I could purchase everything in this upmarket grocery store. Its probably not the place that you'd complete you weekly shop in. But the quality of the produce is A grade, with the price to match.
A great store to purchase something special for dinner/dessert or a top shelf brand.
I love Thomas Dux and much prefer doing my grocery shopping here rather than any other supermarket. Even though it is owned by the same people as Woolworths, the quality of the fruit & veg is much better. I recently did a shop at a larger supermarket and it was such a horrible experience compared, not to mention the bad quality and lack of taste in the fruit & veg. Thomas Dux have a great selection of gourmet goods as well as a deli, good quality meats, fish and even sushi. The product here may be a little bit more expensive but it is worth it for the better quality foods, and the more pleasant shopping experience. However, if I need everyday, cheap grocery items such as cleaning products, I would head to a larger supermarket since they do have more variety.
