Such rude, even hostile, customer service has to be experienced first hand. For better or worse, service with a haughty air is not uncommon to high end furniture retailers but the experience in Thonet might have you scurrying from the store. Be prepared, if dressed casually in weekend attire, to be judged unworthy of Thonet's range of classic and modern chairs, tables and stools and to be thereafter dispatched to buy a knock off, whatever your views on the moral rights of designers.
This comment sounds more like a competitors slur rather than an actual customer experience. "Haughty air' does not describe our service or attitude at all. We suggest you come in and make up your own mind.
