Walked in for Monday morning tea, there was one staff serving a full cafe... who then overcharged me $3 for the lasagna. It took 28 minutes for it to arrive to my seat, which was crammed next to an unnecessary and rickety wire shelf that i had to make sure not to knock over every time i moved my arms...
The lasagna with chips and salad was actually very nice, but the overall experience was not a good one.
What a delight to find! My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend away in Warburton; cold but cosy; quaint but couture! Who would of thought we could find great REAL food and brilliant organic tea in a little village like Warby. Three Sugars is a marvelous cafe and delivers with both great food, good service and yes, I've said it before...phenomenal tea! We ask the lovely staff as to the origins of our Chai Lattes and low and behold it was a little company based in the Yarra Valley called The Functional Beverage Company. Certified Organic [I hate imposters] and real loose leaf black tea with intoxicating spices perfectly balanced. Love, love it, love it! Recommend, recommend, recommend!!! Try the lemon slice...devine!
If you want friendly, open minded customer service, then walk away from this cafe. There were a handful of waitresses who did not even greet us with a smile. Once seated, menus were not even given. Further, kitchen was closed at 4pm on a Sunday, which meant half of the food on the menu was not even available.
Overall, three sugars does not offer the friendly service that you would expect from a wonderful country town.
Great way to ruin the experience for first time goers...
