Tia To at Crown

A few weeks ago we were here for dinner, having heard about this place for quite sometime I had high expectations yet always challenging given that I have eaten extensively at Vietnamese restaurants all over. We had a number of dishes from king prawns with lemon grass, braised pork belly and a typical soup broth with barrumandi fish all with rice as the base. Service was great, however I was been a bit bias with my judgement as hard not to compare to places like Footscray, Sunshine, Springvale in which there are numerous restaurants that offer similar dishes cooked much better, perhaps not the same level of presentation, interior design and a fraction of what you would expect to be paying at a higher end in the casino complex. All in all average but enjoyable.

Very bad service. Has to get water myself. Meal was delayed. Portion was relatively smaller compared to people at other table. Was queueing to pay and the queue was cut and when it's my turn I was asked to queue at the back as the woman behind had a declined transaction previously. Very unprofessional service. Offering the $9.95 for the main meal is just a trick and not worth it at all.

The service is only surpassed by the fresh food. Great value. Good wine list at sensible price. Hidden away near the baccarat tables. Highly recommend .
