The experience itself is free, however due to Queensland government regulation fish must be purchased from our retailer onsite. If you have the opportunity to feed dolphins and you don’t do it, you’re crazy. Tin Can Bay is almost a two hour drive from the Sunshine Coast via Gympie but it’s well worth the trip if you’re in the region. The rare Indo-Pacific humpback dolphins have been coming to feed at Tin Can Bay for 30 years, with this group the third generation. The dolphins arrive for feeding any time between 7am and 10am but they are wild animals so there are no guarantees.
