Tingalpa Hotel

The first time I went to the Tingalpa Hotel was December 2015 for a Christmas lunch with my work. I enjoyed the roast pumpkin salad which was absolutely delicious, service was fast and friendly and the entire venue was immaculate. I later returned to the Tingalpa Hotel with my partner for dinner in January 2016 and enjoyed the Rib Eye Fillet which was one of the best steaks I have ever eaten, it truly melted in my mouth! again service was impeccable with the staff very helpful and accommodating. My 3rd visit to the Tingalpa Hotel was February 2016 for a Bundaberg Rumfest evening they were hosting, this was a busy night where all tables had been pre booked so I had to wait to be seated. Staff were very friendly and after a short 20 min wait I was informed a table was available. I enjoyed the Jerk Chicken & Bundy Burger which was again delicious. Absolutely fantastic!! Im telling all my friends about this one!



As a family of 5, we went to the royal mail 4 months ago and we were far from impressed...however, we have recently gone back and goodness me!! Well after a write up in the local paper regarding new management (again...I think that is 5 in 4 years) we thought we would give them the benefit of the doubt. I think this hotel is jinxed they can NEVER get it right. My first gripe is that I don't think the white chairs have ever been washed, if we can notice how grubby the chairs are why can't the staff? A one hour and 10 minute wait for a meal that was revolting. An Angus steak burger that was so full of gristle my husband couldn't eat it. The staff was mortified when my (non confrontational) husband approached him. The offered him another one but he demanded a refund.My son's ribs were cold and my salmon was cooked to within an inch of its life. A bar with no wine list and attitude from the staff when I asked what the price of each wine was. Out of all the inexpensive but lovely wines available I had a choice of Lindemans or Hardys and a very overpriced Oyster Bay. Then again at least they had them stocked ...read more

Would NEVER go back.



First visit was a confirmed booking for 12 people two weeks prior.



On the Sunday we turned up we found the Pub closed. No phone call was made to advise us of this.



Second visit again we booked to confirm they would be open. Arrived to find kids playground closed & only a choice of 4 simple meals. No kids meals offered.



When we asked why we were not advised of this the staff didn't have an answer. Blamed it on Management.



We won't be going back for a third time.

Possibly one of the worst meals my wife and I have eaten. Food was not good Service was poor . Stay away from this place, even their beer on tap was broken.
