Tingha Palace

Tingha Palace recently moved into the Parramatta Leagues Club premises from across the road at Church Street. This restaurant has benefited from the move by gaining a larger dining area, modernised decor and gathering new fans.

It will feel like you are in Chinatown, with the lunch time yum cha trolleys wheeling around, so be sure not to miss out. A fuller menu is also available. The ideal spot for lunch or dinner, and why not visit the rest of Parramatta Leagues Club after you finish for some live entertainment.

They use to be located in Cabramatta before, but did dinner, not yum cha. This is my family's go to yum cha in the area. They are really busy on weekends and public holidays so I recommend booking ahead. The place is quite small, but prices and variety is still good.

Had the duck pancake and san choy bow here. It was OK although not as good as I recall from previous visits a few years ago. Service was average but not exceptional. TP need to lift their game to compete with the number of restaurants in Parramatta

The food here is quite good, no complaints. And the prices seem quite reasonable for such a place. However, when we ordered lobster, the waiter brought us a really massive one, saying it's the only one available, even though we could see smaller ones in the tank. I guess it's just a way to get you to buy more than you need, hence the final bill was quite hefty. But overall, service was good (even though there weren't enough waiters to go round), nicely decorated, looked very clean and the food was delicious.

Tingha Palace is a great place for family dinner, the services is just perfect. It's more exciting to see the menu, where the most attracting dish for me is the mud crabs, a must have and the cost is fraction of many other big restaurant. You have to become a member of the Parramatta RSL before entering, I guess this is the only draw back.
