Titans Weightlifting Club

At the commencement of 2007 the Titans Weightlifting Team (formally known as the Burwood Weightlifting Club) moved to the Sydney Olympic Park Sports Centre, which is located close to the Ibis and Novotel hotels with the Mecure and Formula One hotels.

The new gym has 11 platforms ranging in size from 2.4x2.4 to 4x4. At present there are approximately 50 athletes training in the club under the direction of Four Time, 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 Head Olympic Weightlifting Luke Borreggine and assistant coaches Steve Tikkanen, two times Commonwealth Games Coach 2002 and 2006 and Don Mitchell, 1980 Moscow Olympian.

Other sporting codes like the Western Sydney Razorback basketball team and the Western Sydney Ram's rugby union team have used the gym in the past. Homebush Boys High School currently run their School Sport Program under the guidance of Tony Campbell Cowie.

The Sports Centre is the premier competition venue in the southern hemisphere, containing free parking for athletes and officials. It has state of the art amenities and is located close to NSWIS (NSW Institute of Sport) and NSWIS medical staff. Come and see us if your intrested in Weightlifting.
