Tollgate Hotel has become a very popular place to dine and enjoy a few drinks with friends. The traditional pub meals offered at the bistro of Tollgate Hotel are unbelievably affordable.

I have to say that I absolutely hated this place, and am still wondering why I went out of my way to check it out. Maybe it had something to do with the name. Well, I guess I learnt my lesson for judging a book my its cover. Basically this is a very blokey pub which I have to say really doesn't impress me all that much, I prefer the more eclectic inner-city establishments, though I have found some decent ones in Parramatta. Like many of these pubs there is a sports bar, a VIP Lounge, a restaurant, and a reasonable beer garden. There is also a fairly large front bar with a couple of pool tables and some pinball machines. However, as I said, I really didn't like the ambience of this place at all and won't be making the hike to get out here again.
Bloody good Pub.
My partner, friends and family have been going here for the best part of 15yrs (I'm not sure why its taken me so long to write this - but better late then never!)
All in all - I have continuously been impressed with this pub.
The atmosphere and staff are friendly and light-hearted, weather it be chatting with friends in the beer-garden or having a meal at the bistro - its always easy and relaxing.
That's another thing - Michael, who runs the bistro there is a laugh-a-minute kinda guy, who's always up for a chat. He's meals start at $8 for mains, and he always has a board of specials going, so getting a feed is never a problem.
I definately recommend both the Tollgate and the bistro there
