Tomodachi

Their service is adequate and the food was nice, their lunchtime specials are always great because there's not much difference between them and their set meals in terms of quality and quantity but a huge leap in prices. Nevertheless great food and great choice for lunch after shopping.

Located in Rhodes shopping centre, it is situated off a corner of the food court.

Service is okay at best. Looks like they're going through the motions of a busy weekend. When we arrived it looked like a hurricane of people had arrived and left as so many tables were full of dirty dishes. We were promptly seated and given menus but it took them a while to take the orders. The meals seem to be delivered at different times as my mum got her dish a while before I got mine. I noticed this with other tables too. What was appreciated was that they advised me that the Yakiudon was spicy so immediately chose someone else as definitely do not like spicy foods.

We went with Yakisoba and Chicken Udon. They looked well presented and tasted delicious.

If only the staff seemed more interested then it would've gotten a higher rating.

A nice casual Japanese restaurant with an influence of Korean.
Ordered the bento boxes and they were full of variety including sashimi, nigiri, some fried spring rolls, prawns and comes with miso. Cost around $23 but made for a nice dinner. Kids friendly environment and not too busy.

I was introduced to Tomodachi at Rhodes by one of my friends who happen to live and work nearby. We went to Rhodes Shopping Centre for lunch late last year during a busy Christmas period and this one restaurant seemed to be the one since it wasnt too crowded but busy enough to indicate that this place serves good food.

Tomodachi serves Japanese cuisines but with some Korean influence in its dishes. The shop is quite large, divided into two sections: the sushi train area for when you sit in high chairs in front of the sushi conveyors, and the dining areas with long tables and benches for a communal-style seating.

The items on the menu are of average offerings and of standard pricings. The quality of the food was alright, with nothing out of ordinary that deserves a special mention.

The staffs were quite friendly and overall it was an average experience.
