Tom's Towbars

Unimpressed by my dealings with Tom's Towbars Wangara. I was warned to make sure I was not overcharged for fitting of a towbar. I requested clearly a Hayman Reece towbar and could they match the price from elsewhere. They said yes . When I got home I noted it was not a Hayman Reece as ordered. I rang and was told it was the same, same factory etc. I subsequently discovered it was a cheaper brand normally around 20% less. I got the correct price but not the tow bar ordered. They were also asked to fit a nudge bar which they did. On collection there was no grill re-fitted just a hole exposing the radiator. They tried unconvincingly to explain that was how it was done these days!!?? The internet images for my car plus nudge and all the cars with these all had the grill replaced. I politely asked them to rectify this. No reply at all. Another fitter very kindly refitted the grill for no charge!! Beware!

Nothing but problems from day 1 , have gone to another welder who stated the the Racks made by Toms were not even suitable for my truck or even for a Ute in that matter . The thin metal used broke and cracked easy and the welds didnt hold together for more than one year . Honestly don't go here with cost you three time more than getting it done right the first time . Even the person repairing it all now says he's got heaps of stuffed up work from Toms over all the years .

Well The staff are nice enough, but job I got done was very average. Had tow hitch installed on my near new car, cut out on bumper was off center leaving very average end result. Excuse were made. They also pinched my wiring during install causing faults to my system & causing long delays to overall installation. I was referred from a dealership inconvenience. Average at best
