Tonik Surf Centre - Waurn Ponds

Approximately two years ago, my Father passed away. Just before he passed away I purchased a pair of Emu ugg boots for him from Tonik Waurn Ponds for over $200, in the hopes he would be returning home. A few days after he passed away, I took the boots back to the shop as I needed the money to assist in payment for his funeral. The man in the shop was lovely, he was very understanding and called the owner to ask if this was okay for me to return the boots. The owner refused to refund the purchase and offered a credit note for the store. Obviously I did not want to exchange these for anything so I left them at the store without any form of compensation. I was not told upon purchase that they did not offer returns, if I had been I would not have purchased these in the beginning as I was unsure my Father would ever wear them. I will never return to any of the Tonik stores.

seemed great at first, went in purchased some thongs (not on sale), when I arrived home, I realised that these were not the right size for the person I purchased them for. when I attempted to exchange them, there were no thongs available in the size that I needed. I was told that they do not offer refunds and that all they could offer me was a credit note. I would have been happy to exchange if they had the product available but as they did not, I was required to spend more money to obtain a pair of thongs. in this circumstance a credit note is not helpful and will go unused as the only reason I shopped there was to buy thongs and my budget is not so lenient that I can just go and buy another pair somewhere else and spend the money spent on the original thongs on something that I don't need. their inability to be practical, especially when they had sold out of their product will prevent me from shopping here again.

Hands down the best surf shop in Geelong. They seem to choose really good stock and the sales staff are always great... not the arrogance you get from many clothes shop staff.

This is a great store and the staff are so fun and friendly. They stock the latest thread and what I love the most is that the staff will tell you honestly if something looks great or not-so-great. I generally go and see one of the male staff members who is an absolute blast. He is fun, remembers my name (after 1 visit) and knows my style and won't push clothes on me that I don't go for... RECOMMENDED!!!
