Toolooa Gardens Motel Apartments & Villas

Accommodation in Gladstone is over priced - but there are better options than Toolooa Gardens. Service was good - but the room I stayed in was beyond disappointing. It is not 4 stars! This is certainly false advertising. They gave me a hotel room. Curtains did not completely cover window, and there was a window in the bathroom that looked into an old store room. No curtain. Which was certainly unsettling as a lone female traveller. Without these two discrepancies the room would have been tolerable, but I did not feel secure at all. I informed them who could offer me another room in a deluxe sweet for an extra $110. They refused to give me a refund even though I only spent 5 minutes in the room. I found a room last minute at somewhere else which was not much more than what I paid at Toolooa Gardens and can not even be compared in the same category as it was brand new, very private, and an authentic 4 stars. Honestly, spend a bit extra, it is worth it.
