Toowong French Patisserie
Open today
6:00 am - 3:00 pm
Nothing French about this patisserie. The savoury selections are meat pies and sausage rolls that are dry just like most hot bread kitchens. The macaroons are nice but expensive, $18 for a 6 pack. I bought a small $15 cake piece for valentines day, the decorations kept falling off, taste of the chocolate was too rich. Over rated.
NOT GOOD GUYS! - Wife was having a 50th, so I ordered the Brigitte - A black forest cake with decorations at $90.00
Never again will I order a cake from any French Patisserie in australia. It was made in Toowong Brisbane and I would have to pick it up at Clayfield.
For a cake that looked great, thats pretty much where it ended. The cake was dry and just crumbled everywhere. The filling, if thats what you called it - a seriously smooth but sickening chocolate ICING??? I dont know what it was but it was just too much and sickly distasteful. I don't even think there was any cream in it. I dont know what I ordered ,but I will never order from them again...What is it with celebration cakes that cake makers can't get right? It is so dissappointing and a let down for the people you are trying to impress, when these so-called cake professionals can't get it right...A big apology to my wife Kate! We had a goodnight otherwise. Friends and family made up for it
