Torin Japanese Restaurant

food was at best average. the green tea was not loose but sachet and was too weak. teriyaki salmon was deep fried and the torin cooked tuna salad contained canned tuna flakes.

The food here is pretty good. Would recommend getting the sashimi share dishes, and if you're into drinks, they have a good selection of japaense sakes

Torin is more of a Korean restaurant with Japanese dishes. I've been to this restaurant twice and my experience has been at both ends of the spectrum.

I came here for the first time with friends for a Sunday arvo lunch. The food was below average and the service was painfully slow and unattentive, despite the restaurant being almost empty. For what we got, I found the food overpriced.

I went (begrudgingly) for the second time last night and was pleasantly surprised at the quality of food and the level of service. It was as if I'd walked into a totally different restaurant. They serve you side dishes with your meal (as Korean restaurants do), and if you order the sashimi platters you get additional side dishes.

Will definitely return. A must-order is the medium or large sashimi platter.
