Reading the "Mental Health Unit Patient Code of Conduct" stopped me from sending a dear friend to the facility. One can accept and understand the behaviour that they are trying to prevent, but the tone and language are insulting to the patient. Reads like what you'd expect a from a gaol code of conduct for prisoners (except for the multiple threats of discharge). And overhearing a conversation between the intake officer and a relative of a prospective patient leads one to believe that only saints are accepted, and no "unusual" behaviour will be tolerated. So we have a Mental Health Unit that doesn't want people that may have problems???
