Ray is a great guy and is the first mechanic that I trust to look after my cars, both a modern Subaru wagon and an older Suzuki. They have fixed multiple problems left over from previous mechanics and have kept me informed the whole time, even when trying to keep 20 year old air con running.

Had clutch fitted, 5 months later it fails, they picked car up and called at 5pm to say it's been fixed and we now have to pay $606.20, we weren't quoted nor did we give a go ahead, I said I'm going to VCAT and was told to bring cash to pick up the car
The clutch has many components; we replaced the clutch (clutch plate pressure plate and thrust bearing) for you. These components are related to the engine. The second issue that unfortunately occurred concerned issues with the clutch pedal which is completely unrelated to the work we had done. Upon receiving your phone call we sent a mechanic out to Reservoir immediately to try and help you and towed the car back to the workshop free of charge. You were fully informed that the issue had nothing to do with the original repairs. The VACC (Victorian Automotive Chamber of Commerce) were contacted and they saw no issue to be resolved and tried to indicate that to you. Should the issue have arisen out of any fault on our behalf we would have gladly done the second lot of repairs free of charge but this was not the case in this instance.
And we were given the go ahead to complete the work. We apologise if you did not understand us when we explained the issue was of no fault of ours and that if you wanted this second issue resolved you would have to pay in full. For you to assume the work would be done free of charge is your mistake not ours.
