Toscanis Cafe Bar & Restaurant

Have been here a few times and had their $9 breakfast deal. This entails bacon, egg and toast, all beautifully cooked, and the portion size is just right. Only thing is, it needs more atmosphere in the mornings - perhaps some nice music or something, otherwise it is too quiet.

I've been here more than a dozen times and each time I've been pleased with the quality of food and level of service.

The service is sometimes a little slow on some nights but that can be expected when you're there on Thursday, Friday or Saturday night.

Their Pizza's are delicious and I often get their Nachos as well which are also very tasty.

I recommend visiting if you're in the area.

The food is not bad (though not great), but my evening has been made very uncomfortable more than once because the management yells at his waitstaff. And I mean YELLS. The waitresses are pretty good at their job from what I can tell, and nearly all are quite friendly, so I'm not sure why he needs to yell at them. Anger management issues? No wonder this place seems to have such a high turnover rate. Food can be slow to come out on a busy night and is usually not as good at busy times either...seems like the kitchen doesn't handle pressure well. I'd never go back on a Friday night, that's for sure. Best thing about it is that it's convenient, and the desserts (especially the cheesecakes) are yummy.

I have given Toscani's 2 opportunities to redeem itself and yet I have left the restaurant feeling hungry and disappointed. The first time I ordered a spaghetti bolognaise and out came a very watery, tomato sauce dish with still raw pasta. The second and last time I ordered one of their "specials" - a t-bone steak, cooked medium. What I received was a VERY well done steak, so chewy I kept spitting out the meat! Service was average but does not make up for the disappointing meals. Definitely will not be back!
