Townsville Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery is a specialist practice that cares for patients requiring dental extractions, orthodontic extractions, dental implant surgery (including any associated bone grafting that may be required), fractures of the jaws, cheek bone and orbits, cancers of the mouth, infections in the mouth, salivary gland surgery, orthognathic (jaw) surgery and oral medical problems.

Our surgeons are Dr Benjamin Rahmel (owner) and Dr Lakshmi Ramalingam. Both surgeons are dually qualified with dental and medical degrees and are fully qualified Oral and Maxillofacial Surgical Specialists.

Referrals can be made by Dentists and Medical Practitioners. Referrals enable patients to make claims for Medicare rebates and also potentially higher rebates from some Private Health funds. We participate with most funds Known Gap/No Gap initiatives to help minimize your out of pocket costs on medical treatment performed in hospital.
