Translink Bus Services often run late, and passengers, like myself, often miss our connecting services resulting a wait up to an hour for the next available service.
Bus services outside of major transfer hubs are very few and limited, so missing these critical connecting services has big impacts. When complaints are raised, Translink Customer Relations reply with generic responses about monitor and reviewing network demand in the future.
Based on the Translink Customer Satisfaction Monthly Snapshot (Dec 17) - Translink have obtained a KPI score of 73, which they deem near 'Best Practice'. With such a low benchmark, Translink have become complacent and no longer strive for world class performance for a 'new world city'.
Demand better Queenslanders!
Route 340, Bus V779, Approx 7.44am , 12/8/16
Again, this morning passengers were left behind as the driver of the 340 bound for Woollongabba ignored many people running up the Roma Street platform to board the service.
The buses stop too far up the platform and drivers will not wait for passengers to board.
It was a deliberate move and the driver saw us clearly.
What is being done bout this?
I was in Queensland a few weeks ago and came across Translink service, we were staying in Palm beach and wanted to get the local bus to the airport The directions was rather simple and within walking distance from where we were staying. Per person was $5.60 to the airport, the trip probably 20 minutes or less. I found this very good in terms of pricing, and convenience and most of all ease of travelling. Unlike arriving at the airport and getting a taxi, the cost was $39.00 for less than 15 minutes drive down the gold coast highway, which I thought was such a rip off. Using Translink when in Queensland, a highly recommended service and convenient for all passengers.
My card broke down and couldnt touched off. And lost my free journeys and had to spend 30$ to sunshine coast and back which was suppose to be free. A staff told me ill get it back next week bcoz its an accident.
I called few days after to get that money back but i was trashed saying "sorry not applied bcoz its a new card".. I asked them " the staff said ill get it back" but replying only with "we're just following guidelines"...
My point is, do we see an ambulance stopping for red light bcoz thats the "guidelines" of the road?
Very poor attitude.
