I traveled to Bali and was bitten by a bat. When I returned to Adelaide I was told I should contacted Travel Bug, witch I did and was told I needed a course of vaccination.The staff and the Doctor did all they could do to help me. Next time I travel ,I will definitely ring travel bug so that they can advise us if we need any vaccinations before. My husband and I thank all at Travel bug very much for there care and understanding.
Will definitely be visiting this clinic again. My GP was uncertain about my family's requirements for travel to Bali so she sent us here. The doctor was very thorough and gave us some really valuable advice. All necessary tests were performed to make sure we weren't over vaccinated and the kids left happy with their lollipops. Feeling super organised and prepared to head away!!!
Have just paid $105 for 3 flu shots - wish I had gone to Chemist Warehouse and paid $30 for the same thing. I was expecting the new 'quad' vaccine to cover us for our White Christmas tour of Canada and USA but was not even consulted about the options available. Will not be going back!
I am sorry that you had this experience. Chemist Warehouse uses a different model where nurses vaccinate and they are performing the service to entice you into the clinic to buy their assorted other items like cosmetics. We have full secretarial and medical costs that they avoid and we cannot compete ever on price. With regard to a trip to Canada I believe you were visiting us for a booster shot for another matter and then asked for a flu shot at the same time, the quadri flu shot was brand new and is quite a lot to give to someone who has not had it before, and is even more expensive. As these issues are quite complex we need to have you book a proper appointment for a new trip( as it says in the letter that you received re the booster). You may do that if you wish and we still have the quadri flu vaccine in stock. I am sorry that you did not make your annoyance known more directly as I have only just had this complaint brought to my attention.
