I went with my daughter to buy a pair of shoes that were lovely but were not properly made. When we got home, we discovered there was a nail sticking up in the inside. My daughter went to swap them, but every pair in the shop had the same defect, so she bought a different style. Then when she brought them home, we discovered that this pair was also not properly made. The inner sole was over an inch short so that the toe area was completely uncovered by it and exposed a very rough underside. The shop assistant also did not give her the correct change and over charged her by $20.00. On our third trip to the shop, the shop assistant tried to say it was a very common thing in handmade shoes and it was because the shoes were vintage, but that she would refund them. This is an Aladdin's cave filled with beautiful and exotic treasures from Turkey. The ceramic-ware is amazing as are so many of the unique and lovely pieces to be found. There are rugs, leather bags and jackets, shoes and jewellery. There's now a second shop in Olinda. Very well worth a visit.
