Coming from overseas I was looking for an Aveda salon in the city and I was presently surprised to find one in David Jones. The service I received was exceptional, the staff were extremely friendly. The stylist I had really listened to my requirements and had lots of fresh suggestions. I am over the moon to have found this salon and would highly recommend it anyone.
I had such a lovely experience at this salon. The Aveda ritual was something I hadn't experienced at any other salon before. I found the staff members very friendly and welcoming. I had a fantastic haircut that grew out well. Their product knowledge was excellent and my stylist seemed to genuinely care about both myself and my hair. I was given some free samples of some Aveda products to try which I thought was a great touch. I have recommended the salon to both friends and work colleagues.
Terrible! Firstly I showed a picture of how I wanted my hair to look, and halfway I had to ask why isn't they doing it like the picture? The staff said oh in the picture you showed the hair wasn't to the side! I had to show them again and said oh ok. Secondly they are so rude to me. Thirdly my hair was short so I asked or a blowdry costing $50 they charged me $75. And lastly my hair would not have held for the whole night if I did not put a ton of hairspray myself!!!! Admittedly I could have done a better job in hair styling then they did! NEVER GOING THERE AGAIN, they should be better at hiring professional workers not only in hairstyling but customer service.
