My name is Joshua Wood, the Trigger Point Assassin. I am a Remedial Massage Therapist, based in Melbourne, Victoria, specializing in returning muscle to full function and the pain relief through Triggerpoint Therapy, Massage, and other manual techniques. I believe improperly functioning muscle is one of the major causes of chronic pain: from headaches and sore backs to painful knees and achy hips.
Coming from a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Mixed Martial Arts background, I have a keen understanding of the importance of fully functional muscles in the sporting world, and love working with athletes and sporting injuries.
Also, teaching Certificate IV in Massage Therapy at Sage Massage (www.sagemassage.com.au), I firmly believe in educating my patients. Teaching them about the techniques used, why they are used, and how to maintain the effects of the treatments.
